Feb 20, 2022 - Bobby's Fish Camp - Silas Alabama

We left Kingfisher Marina around 0630 and hit the Demopolis Lock and Damn about 4 miles down river. The fog was heavy when we left and lasted for about an hour. The river was almost at flood level and was running fast. We had to play "bob and weave" for the entire 98 mile trip.

We arrived at Bobby's Fish Camp - the only marina between Demopolis and Mobile Bay - around 1500. This "marina" is a unique experience. It is right off the river, with one face dock. We will probably be rockin' and rollin' tonight!

During the trip we all took turns spotting for debris. Mark even went out to the bow (Leonardo DiCaprio style) to help guide Ryk around the larger logs while it was foggy!

Cruising through the fog and debris

The size logs (trees) that were floating downriver!! Plus, there were debris fields and smaller branches to dodge...

Bobby's Fish Camp, yes, this is it :)

Boat launch at Bobby's

On the only dock at Bobby's - there was only room for three of us! The dude in the bottom right corner was fishing and drinking a beer - a hectic day in Silas Alabama!
